Glass Treatment Options
Glass Vials – Silanizing
A silanization treatment offers a simple way to maximize media recovery from a vial. Silanized vials offer protection against material adhesion to the surface of the glass vial. The process involves the application of a chemical that renders the surface inactive to polar compounds. This treatment maximizes the recovery of the stored media, and provides a barrier against biological materials interacting with the glass.
VIAL-ARMOR™ deactivation
VIAL-ARMOR™ deactivation blocks surface adsorption of compounds on glass Si-OH sites through a high temperature gas deposition, coating the entire surface of the vial. Deactivation is crucial when working with amines, herbicides, PAH’s, PCB’s, pesticides, phenols, proteins, pharmaceuticals and polar compounds.
